This role is critical in shaping and administering a modern data platform, with a focus on streamlining pipelines, managing platform capability, and delivering actionable insights to support smarter business decisions across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Microsoft Fabric
- Oversee platform performance and data flow reliability across Azure services
- Develop and maintain secure, automated data integration using Azure Data Factory
- Deliver data visualisation and reporting solutions through Power BI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data governance and data-driven outcomes
- 5 years in a senior data engineering role, with experience in platform administration
- Strong expertise in PySpark and Microsoft Fabric
- Advanced SQL proficiency for data modelling and transformation
- Proven capability with Azure Data Factory and cloud-based data services
- Hands-on Power BI development experience, including DAX and Power Query
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive problem-solver with a continuous learning mindset
- 5 months contract role - Auckland
- 3 days in the office - 2 days WFH
- Market rates: $120 - 130 per hour based on experience.
