This large NZX-listed, complex business has grown significantly over the years and is one of the biggest players in their sector. More recently, they have received significant investment, which allows them to grow and transform further. It's likely that the business will be acquiring competitors and also transforming their systems and the way their team operates.
  
The business does not feel like a corporate, with an approachable and capable leadership team where decisions are made quickly. This is a great time to join the business, with the amount of investment and change in business, there will be plenty of growth opportunities for capable people.

Some More Information About The Role
  
They are setting up a team to define, assess, build business cases and deliver enterprise projects and they need an analyst to research opportunities, analyse/model and build business cases for strategic opportunities. This is a newly created role, here are some of the key responsibilities but they are likely to evolve;

• Build and maintain financial models to support decision making.
• Help build robust business cases/feasibility studies for opportunities.
• Conduct internal and external research for new opportunities
• Prepare analysis and presentations for Exec and board review.

This will be a busy environment with lots happening at once, so you will likely be drawn into a range of different tasks.

So Who Are You & What Is Your Profile?

This role really suits someone with strong analysis and financial skills; you could've gained this in a professional services business via the CA or CFA route. You'll need to be a highly organised and confident communicator who likes to take ownership of their work. 
  
Although this role is a fixed term, it's likely there will be plenty of opportunities in the business. This role could also suit someone who is looking to gain some commercial experience before they go overseas on their OE.
